Lori Randall
Counsellor/Supervisor
Having someone to talk to at various points in our life can be extremely helpful in dealing with a range of issues. It can be beneficial to speak with someone such as a Counsellor who is non-judgemental, genuine and can offer unconditional positive regard.
The counselling relationship is not like any other relationship that you may have experienced before and requires you, the client, to take a leap of faith and trust in someone you have not met before.

About me and my practice
I have spent my whole career working in the health, fitness, and wellness sector. I now focus on mental health and wellbeing and take enormous pleasure in supporting clients to improve their understanding of themselves, leading towards a more fulfilled life.
I am a locally qualified counsellor/psychotherapist and supervisor with a Level 4 Diploma in Therapeutic Counselling and a Level 6 in Counselling Supervision. I am also a member of the British Association of Counsellors and Psychotherapists (BACP) and work in accordance with their Ethical framework.
I am fully insured for public liability and professional indemnity. I have a regularly checked DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service). I receive private supervision to support my work and update my professional status through Continuing Professional Development.
I have been working with clients for a considerable time and have supported them through a range of issues. I also work as a counsellor at a local charity supporting clients who are experiencing trauma symptoms due to sexual violence, domestic abuse and/or childhood abuse.
Experience
The type of counselling I offer Humanistic Integrative Counselling allows me to incorporate a range of theoretical approaches to support my client work and these include: Person- centred, Gestalt and Transactional Analysis. All these approaches put the client at the centre of the work. Within my practice I also combine this with a Compassed-Focused style which is particularly beneficial when working with clients who have experienced trauma. I have had significant training and experience in working with clients who have experienced sexual violence, domestic abuse and childhood.

Supervision
Supervision is a requirement for counselling practice both from an ethical perspective and as part of a practitioners professional membership.
I provide an integrative approach to build a safe and effective supervisory relationship which allows practitioners to explore and reflect on their therapeutic work whilst paying attention to both ethical practice and wellbeing.
I am a qualified, experienced supervisor and can provide clinical supervision to counsellors/psychotherapists either face to face or online either one to one or in groups. Supervision will typically take place twice a month (once every two weeks) whilst training, but when qualified practitioners may prefer a longer session once a month. This depends on course and/or professional membership requirements
